“Old Town” Alexandria in Northern Virginia will be the site of the 49th annual conference of the Southern Conference on Slavic Studies (SCSS), 7-9 April 2011. Hosted by George Mason University’s Center for Eurasian Studies, it will meet at the new Westin Alexandria hotel in Alexandria, VA. The SCSS is the largest of the ASEEES’s regional Slavic and Eurasian studies affiliates and the oldest (older than the AAASS/ASEEES itself). Its programs attract national and international scholarly participation. We are looking forward to a stimulating and enjoyable conference.
